The museum houses a large collection of shells, shellfish and a number of skeletons of marine organisms from alla over the world.
The Museum of Shells includes a rich series of shells and mollusks and a vast collection of skeletons of marine organisms: madreporarians, echinoderms, large crustaceans, and shells of turtles.
The pieces on display, coming from all over the world, constitute a remarkable bit of natural heritage that is very useful both for starting to acquire a knowledge of the sea and for seeing the complex evolution of the tiny inhabitants of the underwater world.
In the park, a fascinating display of lugsails with the colors of seafaring families as well as some ''batanicci'', small vintage boats used for daily fishing and family subsistence.
