LINARI WAY
The Linari Way is an ancient trade route and pilgrimage trail toward Rome and an alternative to the Francigena Way which it joined from Fidenza toward Parma to reach Tuscany by the Lagastrello pass.
Its name is connected with the history of the Abbey of Linari, a religious settlement which stood right on the mountain ridge between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.
The Linari Way is now a trail of moderate difficulty which passes through places of great naturalistic importance such as the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano Unesco Biosphere Reserve and where the best quality foods of a great tradition are produced.
